Reload at the Ayr Racecourse

Last Friday evening ‚  I went along to the second day’s celebrations of the Ayr Gold Cup races, to watch and hear a local Ayrshire band perform.

Reload are a 3-piece band made up of Drew who plays keyboards and guitar, Elaine who sings and plays keyboards, and Andy who plays saxophone, guitar and keyboards.

The dancefloor ‚  at the Princess Royal Suite was full, and everyone was singing along to some good ole classics. ‚   I really enjoyed Reload, and would recommend them for ‚  your ‚  occasion.

Angelic Touch to your Stationery

Angelic Invites

I recently ‚  came in ‚  contact with Angela, who established Angelic Invites in Spring 2006 designing contemporary Wedding and Special Occasion stationery.

She has just launched a new design collection for 2009, including a ‚  unique Oriental Flourish range using either Japanese printed papers in ebony ‚  and gold, ‚  or single stemmed roses and thistles.

Her collection titled ‚  “A Little Sparkle” ‚  uses ribbon threaded with letters and are set-off with crystals.

The “Heavenly Heart” designs are maded of sumptuous satin padded hearts ‚  complimented with swarovski gems.

Angela kindly sent ‚  me a selection of samples. ‚   They ‚  are delicate and very pretty, and can be adapted to suit a colour scheme of your choice and customised in a variety of card types and sizes.

If you are interested in any of Angela’s designs, please do not hesitate to contact me to benefit from the discount she is offering me and my Clients. ‚

The Sweetie Shop is making Tablet

The Sweetie Shop in Ayr is making me some home made tablet as favours ‚  for my Trade Stand at the Ayr Flower Show next weekend.

Tablet is a medium-hard, sugary confection from Scotland and is traditionally made from sugar and cream (or condensed milk and butter). ‚   It is boiled, left to crystallize and can be flavoured with vanilla.

If you fancy a piece, then why not come along to the Ayr Flower Show.

Only 5 days to go!

Ayrshire’s Balloon & Party People

The Balloon and Party People are a business based in Crosshouse, Ayrshire who create stunning balloon decorations for all types of celebration, and in all manner of forms including:

  • Signature balloon designs that contain lots of smaller ‚  balloons, ‚  and when burst, explode into the air falling ‚  with handfuls of flutter fetti

The Balloon and Party People will be exhibiting a couple of designs on my trade stand at the Ayr Flower Show next month, so please do come and see what our local suppliers can offer.

Ayrshire Business offers their Wedding Favours

The Gift Mill

When I first heard that my application for a Trade Stand at the Ayr Flower Show (it’s 8th, 9th & 10th August 2008) had been successful, I knew I would need some help from local suppliers ‚  to provide ‚  some of their product samples for me to exhibit, ‚  for my visitors to be attracted by the visual impact.

So I got in touch with a local Wedding Favour supplier in Irvine, to ‚  view their latest product range. ‚   It was exciting to see their variety of favours, from the unique to the quirky, including:

  • Shell place card holders
  • Soaps
  • Coasters
  • Cookie cutters
  • Wildflower seeds
  • Candles

The difficult task will be chosing a select few from the wide product range to use on my Trade Stand.
