‚  Ayrshire ladies at ASB Awards in Aberdeen

I was in Aberdeen at the weekend for the Association of Scottish Businesswomen (ASB) Awards Dinner and Conference, which was hosted by the Aberdeen Business Network (abn).

40+ business women gathered at the Jury’s Inn Hotel in the city on Friday, ‚  to participate in ‚  a coaching session ‚  from Martha Simpson and to hear advice from a selected panel of professional women from TIPS, Thorpe Molloy, Larosco & Befriend a Child.

In the evening ‚  we ‚  changed into formal wear for the ‚  Awards ceremony and dinner at the Elphinstone Hall on the grounds of Aberdeen University.

3 of our aabw members, came runners-up in their nominated categories. ‚   ‚  Heather Dunk, Principal of Kilmarnock College, won a special highly commended award for her contribution to business and ‚  the improvements she has made to the College in the past 12 months.

Well done ladies, and a thank you to abn for being such wonderful hosts for the day!

Should you have any orders outstanding with them, I suggest you contact Confetti to determine ‚  its status.

Set-up Day at Ayr Flower Show 2010

Blank canvas as we offloaded on set-up day ‚  Structure created for display on set-up day

So today was set-up day for the 50th Ayr Flower Show, and it is my third year. ‚   A long day for me, which started early on-site to ensure a good space to offload all my display contents with ease. ‚   After setting up the majority of my display, both my husband and I took errands each, such as ‚  to collect my balloon arrangement and picking up my cupcakes.

Here’s a couple of shots showing the blank canvas I started with this morning and then when I had the main structure in place. ‚   I will post more photos over the weekend of the final look of my display.

Although tomorrow may be a little damp, we are expecting fine weather both Saturday and Sunday, so please pop along to the Show as it’s a great day out for all the family.
