Last week I attended the Ayrshire Association of Business Women (aabw) networking evening, and our guest ‚ was Fiona Lees, the Chief Executive of the East Ayrshire Council. ‚ We had a fantastic turnout, with a great mix of members and guests to network with.
I met Michelle, who runs the Ayrshire Chocolate Fountains company with her family, as she was a guest of one of our newest members to aabw.
With the Summer season past, the Ayrshire Association of Business Women (aabw) are re-convening this coming Tuesday for their monthly networking event.
You are very welcome to join us as a member or guest, from 630pm in the Gailes Hotel & Restaurant by Irvine. ‚ Our speaker on Tuesday is Fiona Lees, the Chief Executive of the East Ayrshire Council, see further details at the link above.
New for our monthly meetings, will be a display board of news, flyers, photos and notices, related to business in Ayrshire, which I’m just pulling together this afternoon.
I’ve been finalising a design for the venue decoration for a couple’s wedding at the Abbotsford Hotel next Summer. ‚ The Abbotsford Hotel is an intimate and traditional style ‚ venue, with a bar and restaurant for the locals and guests to enjoy.
Although the ‚ hotel has an abundance of character, my Clients are looking for me to design a focal point into the conservatory ‚ for their marriage ‚ ceremony as well as to tie the various alcoves of the ‚ function suite into one elegant look for their special day.
Conscious that the majority of friends and businesses are using Facebook, I didn’t want to be left behind, so I too have joined Facebook, under my own name rather ‚ than under my business name.
I will be using Facebook as a more social networking forum with friends, so if you want to see what else I am up to outside of Sarah’s Creative Occasions then feel free to check out my profile.
However I have commenced an advertising campaign on Facebook for engaged couples ‚ in and around ‚ Ayrshire.
I’ll update you later in the week with the other on-line networks I have started.
