Although we are still drifting through Autumn, my mind has been on Christmas for a few weeks now and it’s just 4 days until my first Christmas fair of the season.
This coming Sunday 31st October ‚ I will be selling a wonderful array of Christmas goodies to decorate your tables for dining guests over the festive season. ‚ Plus it’s Halloween, so I have my little witch’s hat ready for the occasion! ‚ It is a ticketed event, so tickets need to be purchased in advance for the Butterfly Bazaar from Lorna.
I have now signed up to 4 days ‚ across the coming month to sell my treats and promote my special occasion planning services ‚ (although 2 of these dates are for a private company and their staff). ‚ The other public event I’m attending, is ‚ with The Ayrshire Hospice and their Winter Fair on Saturday 20th November at the Ayr Racecourse.
Next weekend is the annual Butterfly Bazaar, which is being held at the Ayr Racecourse in aid of Cancer Research UK, ‚ on Sunday 31st October from 12noon.
Sarah’s Creative Occasions will be ‚ attending with other local stallholders, selling her ‚ Christmas favours as well as a variety of table decorations for Christmas. ‚ Being Halloween, I will also have a few ‚ spooky treats on sale ‚ for guests to take home.
So if you haven’t yet booked a place to attend the fun filled afternoon of shopping, eating and networking, then please contact Lorna quickly to reserve your seat.
I am pleased to confirm that Confetti’s on-line shop is open once more, and has been for a couple of weeks now. ‚ They are advertising a wide range of wedding accessories ‚ as before, but please be aware that they don’t seem to be stocking all the products that they ‚ used to, ‚ so do take some time to browse their new on-line store and the variety of what they can offer.
Not sure of the status of their shop in Glasgow, but I’m guessing that ‚ it has ‚ and will remain closed, as I know they were planning on focussing their efforts on maintaining their on-line presence.
So did anyone else catch the new wedding planning series called Wedding House which kicked-off last Tuesday evening on Channel 4. ‚ I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I did find it quite entertaining, albeit a little over-the-top behaviour from the team.
Episode 2 is being shown this evening on Channel 4 at 8pm, so give it a go, even to have a bit of a laugh as well as picking up an idea or two.
Dare I admit I actually liked Alice in Wonderland’s wedding dress from last week, it was a bit quirky.
Our local Ayrshire agent, Julie Muldoon, of Travel Counsellors shared at the Ayrshire Association of Business Women (aabw) event last month their idea to have your own honeymoon on your wedding gift list.

Just two week’s ago I secured a job to design and dress an Ayrshire ‚ home, for the 21st Birthday celebration for Nicole, which was completed for yesterday.
Nicole desired my Sex & the City theme colours of cerise pink, black and silver, in drapes and balloons with fairy lights, and the giant cocktail glass decorated as a table centre.
Here are the before and after shots. ‚ Although not ideal, you can see what can be created in such a short space of time, and the efficiency I can work in from using local suppliers to pull together a very creative and beautiful setting.
