This afternoon, beautiful Zara Phillips, daughter of Princess Anne, married the England rugby player Mike Tindall at the 17th century Canongate Kirk on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh.
The last royal wedding to take place in Scotland was in 1992, when Princess Anne married Timothy Laurence.
It’s been suggested that Zara will keep her maiden name, because of her sporting career.
The bride’s dress was an ivory silk and satin gown designed by Stewart Parvin, accessorised with a veil, tiara and Jimmy Choo shoes. ‚ I particularly love Zara’s bridal bouquet of white calla lillies and scottish thistles.
The couple are now celebrating their marriage with a reception at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh.
This week I received some lovely feedback from Caren, on her son’s 18th Birthday celebration last month, when I supplied a fishing themed ‚ chocolate cake and balloon arrangements, but also hand-crafted 24 treat-filled ‚ favour boxes. ‚ Caren kindly chose “Excellent” across each aspect of my planning service from my “Creativity” to “Value for Money” and also added the words shown above.
Sarah’s Creative Occasions will be at the West Coast Classic Rally ‚ held in Eglinton Park by Irvine ‚ on Sunday 7th July, selling summer treats and accessories for your garden parties.
The rally starts at 10am, and includes a display of classic and performance cars, buses, trucks and ‚ motorcycles, as well as a Military display, trade stands and refreshments.
Last week I locally sourced and supplied a trio of giant cupcakes to Audrey, who was gifting them to 3 friends who were retiring.
Each cake was individually designed for each friend, and absolutely covered in delicious soft swirly icing and glitter sprinkles:
- vanilla sponge decorated with roses
- chocolate cake sprinkled with daisies
- lemon sponge topped with butterflies
