Wow, what a year we’ve had! With Tracey joining the team a year ago, we’ve created, supported
and managed a total of 57 very special occasions at various venues over the past 12 months, including Ardgowan House, Culzean Castle, Dalduff Farm, Harelaw Farm, Piersland House Hotel & Trump Turnberry.
A huge thankyou to all our clients, their friends and family, our own friends and family, everyone’s suppliers and to the venues for having us, it’s been a pure pleasure and we can’t wait to do it all again in 2020. BRING IT ON

This month we organised and hosted our seventh group menu tasting at one of our favourite venues, Harelaw Farm in East Ayrshire.
We had 18 wonderful couples join us for an afternoon of trying various food delights including:
- Canapes of roasted gnocci, tomato & olive stack canapes, haggis bon bons, mini Yorkshire puddings with beef fillet, seared scallop & chorizo skewers and mini bruschetta
- Starters with the antipasto, seafood and Scottish platters served on deep wooden boards
- Main courses of hog roast, sirloin of Scotch beef, garlic & rosemary braised lamb, roast turkey and farmhouse steak pie
- Side dishes of dauphinoise potatoes, peas with pancetta, roasted potatoes, root vegetables & macaroni & cheese
- Desserts with sticky toffee pudding, apple pie, fruit crumble, white chocolate & raspberry cheesecake & hot pineapple with a lime and passionfruit mousse
In addition, we had a fabulous selection of 26 wines for everyone to try. I don’t think they’ve eaten since!
Thankyou to the team of Chefs, bar staff, front of house and waiting staff.
We love working with animals and this Summer we’ve had a majestic barn owl, an adorable Daschund called Luna and entertaining Alpacas, to name just a few of god’s wonderful creatures attending our events. With thanks to Number 94 Photography and Dave Fallon Photography.
Whilst Tracey was busy running a barn wedding last week, Sarah attended the glittering Association of Scottish Businesswomen awards at the Corn Exchange venue in Edinburgh city. It was a night to celebrate success with an array of businesses across the country and here’s a photo of the Ayrshire finalists, including Sarah looking glam in a purple floor length frock.
All the wonderful winners can be seen HERE
Following our venture across to Edinburgh last month for our interview we have made it through and have been announced as a finalist for Business of the Year 2019 with the Association of Scottish Businesswomen.
Full details of the finalists are listed HERE
The winners will be announced at the awards dinner in September! Now to get the outfit sorted.
Our founder Sarah was the lucky one this month, with an invitation to the Royal Garden Party at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh. In attendance was the Queen, Elizabeth II, along with Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.
Under beautiful blue skies, Sarah wore a navy dress, with bespoke fascinator made by local lady Sharon Walker and accessorised with touches of pale blue and sunny yellow, including navy shimmer Shellac nails by Kayleigh McMillan.
Sarah enjoyed a refreshing drink, delicate sandwiches and perfectly round macarons in the tea tent and then watched the High Constables and Archers carry out their duties, before the National Anthem was performed to mark the arrival of the Queen.
She’s eternally grateful to her local community in Kirkmichael for arranging her invitation and here she is pictured above with the Palace in the background and secondly at the foot of the carpeted steps which her Majesty stepped down into the gardens.
It’s been a while … over four years in fact, since we last took to writing a post here, remiss we know but it’s so easy these days to share all our news on social media. So a new aim for us, is to update you on our blog at least once a month.
Our biggest news of recent months, is that we’ve gone from a one person business to two professional women now at our helm and I’m only now getting used to typing and saying “we” instead of “I”.
Tracey O’Neil & Sarah Plant
Tracey and I have worked together over the past few years, when she was the dedicated wedding venue co-ordinator at beautiful Blairquhan Castle in South Ayrshire. With an ever growing order book, we made the decision to join forces and spread our love of events even wider.
Like I, Tracey was an engineer before making the move into event management and we are so similar in many ways, that it just feels so right to be now be working together as Sarah’s Creative Occasions.
Much love as we head towards Summer! – Sarah Plant x
