Having re-joined the Committee of the Ayrshire Association of Business Women in February 2014, as their Events Organiser and Vice President, this week I’ve been hosting one of our event and I also got the opportunity to present an award.
On Tuesday, we held a joint visit with the Federation of Small Businesses and visited the University of the West of Scotland for a tour of their recently renovated Ayr campus, with networking over refreshments and followed by a seminar on making successful introductions.
I’m pictured here (left to right) with Ada Galloway, Transcribe UK (FSB Ayrshire Branch Secretary); Dougie Boatman, Scotplants (FSB Ayrshire Branch Chairman); myself, Sarah Plant, Sarah’s Creative Occasions (AABW Vice President); and Russell Campbell of UWS.
Thursday evening I attended the Young Enterprise Ayrshire Awards at the Gailes Hotel by Irvine and on behalf of the aabw, I presented an award to the Best Link Teacher, Tracy Allen of Doon Academy in Dalmellington. Tracy supported the Doon Academy company called Focus and Focus went on to win the Company of the Year 2014 award also!
