Nautical Themed Wedding Favours in Palma Violet Purple

Gillian's Trio of Wedding Favours in Palma Violet Colouring The full set of wedding favours ready to be packaged up for delivery

Earlier this month I created a set of wedding favours for Gillian and Colin who were married up by Ballachulish. ‚   They had a nautical theme, being married by the sea and also wished for a palma violet purple colouring to match the rest of the wedding scheme.

They chose 3 types of favours:

  • Miniature whiskeys for the gents, personalised with each guest’s name, a table trivia card and satin ribon
  • Silver yacht place card holders for the ladies, with a guest name card and a piece of table trivia
  • Cofanetto chest boxes for the girls, lined with coloured tissue paper, filled with palma violet sweets and a table trivia card and decorated with a yacht embellishment and name tag
  • Cofanetto chest boxes for the boys, also lined with tissue paper but filled with chocolate footballs, table trivia and personalised with a name tag and mirrored yacht embellishment

Stacy and her fianc ƒ © were married 2 weeks ago at the Horizon Hotel in Ayr, and they asked me to create their wedding favours to match in with their black and white colour scheme. ‚   Here they are, miniature whiskeys for the gentlemen and for the ladies, cute boxes lined with tissue paper and filled with home-made tablet plus a table trivia card. ‚   Both were decorated with black organza ribbon and the ladies also had a diamante heart embellishment and the gents had a personalised thank you tag.

Feedback from Andy & Toni’s Wedding at Turnberry

Extract of feedback from Andy & Toni June 2012

Turnberry Suite dressed for Andy & Toni's Wedding June 2012

Not everyone make’s the time to return feedback on my services, so it’s really important when someone does that I take in every word they write and I share it with you too.

My Clients who got married a couple of weeks ago down at Turnberry, sent me their feedback yesterday and for the first time I got a double tick against “Ability to meet your requirement”.

I dressed the Turnberry Suite for their wedding day:

  • decorating the chairs with dark silver organza sashes
  • hiring out a set of privacy screens to hide the kitchen entrance at the rear of the suite
  • designing and printing labels to adorn their wedding card post box
  • supplying a large exploding balloon arrangement, filled with over 50 mini balloons

More photos of their special day can be viewed on Facebook.

Thank you Andy & Toni x

Ceremony Chairs Dressed for Outside Wedding on Terrace at Turnberry

Confetti Cones Ready for Guests at Turnberry Wedding Confetti Cones filled with Freese Dried Rose Petals

Unlike the rest of the country, Ayrshire has been enjoying some glorious weather and this last weekend was no exception with blue skies and the sun beaming.

So my latest Clients to be married, Anthony and Elodie, had the wonderful setting of the Ayrshire coastline as their backdrop for their wedding at Turnberry. Their ceremony was held outside on the terrace, with the wedding breakfast just inside in the Turnberry suite.

I dressed the chairs for the ceremony with a dark silver organza, staged their wedding breakfast in front of some high quality privacy screens to hide the kitchen entrance and hand-crafted a set of confetti cones filled with freeze dried rose petals.

Kirsties Flowers lined the aisle for the ceremony with standard bay trees, also referred to as lollipop trees and decorated the breakfast table with stunning glass vases featuring white roses.

In keeping with the pale colours, Sugar & Spice crafted a set of gorgeous cupcakes which were displayed on a tiered cupcake stand.

So my congratulations to Anthony and Elodie, who have just arrived back home after a long journey!

Two occasions this weekend, and the first was the Wedding of Sophia and Geordie at the Abbotsford Hotel in Ayr yesterday. ‚   I had a fantastic time dressing the venue’s function suite for their Humanist wedding ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception, as well as greeting their suppliers and welcoming their guests throughout the day.

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Elliott, and Thankyou!

I had the pleasure of helping out Claire and Frank at their wedding on Saturday at the Turnberry Resort, by dressing their ceremony chairs with gorgeous purple organza sashes. ‚   Here’s the finished look I created for them, I hope you can’t spot any that are skew, as I made sure each was perfect!

Mr & Mrs Gormanley, who won their dream wedding at Turnberry through Wedding TV, are now in the air en-route to their honeymoon destination, enjoy! x

Venue decoration for the Abbotsford Hotel

Conservatory at the Abbotsford Hotel

I’ve been finalising a design for the venue decoration for a couple’s wedding at the Abbotsford Hotel next Summer. ‚   The Abbotsford Hotel is an intimate and traditional style ‚  venue, with a bar and restaurant for the locals and guests to enjoy.

Although the ‚  hotel has an abundance of character, my Clients are looking for me to design a focal point into the conservatory ‚  for their marriage ‚  ceremony as well as to tie the various alcoves of the ‚  function suite into one elegant look for their special day.

Last weekend I pulled together one of the most busy weddings I have co-ordinated to date, which was for Ruth and Thomas at Blairquhan Castle by Straighton. ‚   It was a wonderful 1950s themed wedding which included:

  • the bride ‚  dressed in ‚  a unique 50s style wedding gown
  • ice cream being served from a hand-cart
  • cigarette girls ‚  offering cigars
  • a candy bar where you could help yourself to retro sweeties
  • the swing band, with the first dance being “I got you under my skin”
  • guests dressed to match the 50s theme
  • china tea sets decorating the tables, filled with candy coloured flowers

It was just beautiful and so different. ‚   Here are a few images from their Wedding Day.

The Ballroom Dressed for Louisa & Patrick's Wedding Reception

For almost two years I have been helping my clients Louisa and Patrick to create their dream wedding in Balbirnie House Hotel, by their Fife home in Glenrothes. ‚   ‚   This last weekend was their Wedding Day and I’m pleased to announce that it went perfectly as expected.

Louisa wrote to me just last night to say “It was the most wonderful day of our lives, we loved every moment of it. ‚   Everything was perfect and we couldn’t have done it without you. ‚   You have been a godsend and I was so relaxed yesterday because I knew you had everything in control.”

Here’s a photograph of me with the Bride Louisa, and also of the Ballroom in the Balbirnie House Hotel that was dressed to match the mood they required; classic, traditional and ‚  relaxed, in their selected colours of gold, black and white, with white roses and lillies. ‚   We used Finishing Touches by Adele for the beautiful chair covers and sashes.
